Eastern Melbourne water polo clubs NYP Dragons and Wodonga Dolphins held the inaugural John Mason Memorial Cup on the 4th and 5th October. The tournament honoured the legacy of John Mason, a beloved member of the water polo community.
John played an integral part in the Water Polo Victoria community, earning respect through his roles as a National League referee, club and state coach and a table volunteer at any tournament possible, including the 2007 FINA World Championships. His dedication to the sport has been formally recognised with Life Memberships to both NYP Dragons and Water Polo Victoria.
We are stoked to support the tournament with a hibiscus suit design that celebrates John’s love for Hawaii. The weekend was a great celebration of friendship, sportsmanship, and the legacy of a much loved member of our water polo family.
